Primary Purpose:
Coordinate and implement activities for the division’s Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Communities Learning Center (CCLC) Texas ACE grant at designated campus. Assure that students received educational and enrichment opportunities outside school hours, including before and after school, weekends, and summers.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Current High School student
- Minimum age requirement: 16 years old
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to provide a positive environment for students
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills required
- Ability to be flexible in assignments and work hours may vary on occasion for special events
- Ability to provide exemplary customer service
- Candidates must be flexible, motivated, creative and willing to learn new skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills a plus
- Computer skills with Microsoft Office Programs a plus
Experience:
- Experience working with school aged children (4-18) is preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead enrichment and/or academic activities for students ages 4-18
- Develop and/or implement lesson plans for assigned activities
- Attend Professional Development trainings
- Participate in formal and in-formal activitiy observations
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Perform other duties as assigned.
