Primary Purpose:
To provide additional support for center-based operations. Duties and tasks based on newly established practices and processes created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High school diploma or GED certificate
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with diverse populations
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Ability to work cohesively with center staff
- Ability to effectively assist with a variety of center-based non-instructional tasks
Experience:
- Experience working in childcare settings with children ages 0-5
- Experience working in an Early Head Start or Head Start program preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Model HCDE and Head Start’s mission, vision, and values.
- Comply with all state and federal laws and department and center policies and procedures.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integration and consistent delivery of all Head Start services.
- Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and staff information.
- Ensure adequate supervision of students to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students.
- Support center personnel to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the center.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Cooperate with all center and department personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
