Primary Purpose:
- Provide support to the Center for Afterschool, Summer, and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids Assistant Director in creating promotional materials and social media content to ensure HCDE and CASE resources, data and services are shared effectively with community clients and partners. Assist with content identification, tracking internal marketing requests, and maintenance of division communication plan. Facilitate the routine dissemination of information through division marketing platforms, including division website.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in related field
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Effective time management skills
- Knowledge in community outreach with business, non-profit, or educational settings
- Computer skills: working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop; web content management; desktop publishing
Experience:
- Proven background in creation of diverse marketing materials
- Experience in marketing and promoting events and/or projects to the community
- Experience using social media in promoting events and projects
- Minimum of two years of experience working with a nonprofit, business or education organization preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the development, production and packaging of division marketing and promotion materials including: flyers, website content, social media, project reports etc.
- Assist CASE staff in the creation of a marketing plan that promotes CASE events, services and resources including but not limited to professional development opportunities, requests for proposals and field awareness.
- As needed act as liaison to HCDE Communications and Client Engagement divisions for content approval and dissemination.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop content for CASE for Kids social media platforms including: afterschoolzone.org, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Monitor division-run social media accounts
- Track internal communication and marketing requests.
- Create and develop files for internal marketing and promotional content such as division logos, graphic elements, flyer templates and event photos.
- Develop procedures for CASE staff to follow in alignment with the marketing plan.
- Maintain routine schedule for collecting and disseminating content to clients and the community.
- Ensure photo and video documentation are captured and stored for all CASE for Kids special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
