Primary Purpose:
Evaluate, intervene, consult, and deliver services as required by the school districts, community agencies, and HCDE.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Degree from an accredited university
- Current License issued by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Effective/efficient oral and written communication skills
- Reliable transportation to/from work and between work-sites
- Efficient mobility within the work-site
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
- General knowledge of computer systems and software applications
- Ability to serve as supervisor for occupational therapy assistant and serve as professional student supervisor
Experience:
- Experience in pediatrics and/or the school setting desirable
- One year of experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Use evidence in practice, evaluation, data collection, documentation and recommendations.
- Evaluate to determine educational need for services.
- Provide intervention to support student participation and performance in accordance with state laws and/or professional standards.
- Document and maintain service-related records.
- Participate in professional growth activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
